Experienced in the title industry since 1987, Andy Maloney has served as an Attorney and Market Manager at Millennial Title since 2020. Overseeing operations in both the Nashville, Tennessee and Santa Rosa, Florida offices, Andy is praised by colleagues and clients alike for his continuous passion and going beyond the call of duty to secure title closings. What is Your Education and Career Background?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Economics and History from Belmont University and Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law. I am a Past-President of the Tennessee Land Title Association for 2017-2018 and Co-Author of the Tennessee RON Law. I am very active in both our state (TNLTA) and national (ALTA) associations. I serve on the TNLTA Education and Legislative committee. the ALTA Education, Government Affairs and Homeownership Outreach Program committees, and am a Certified HOP Leader. I am also a member of the Williamson County and Tennessee Bar Associations.
What Do You Enjoy Most About Working at Millennial Title?
I would say the people. We are truly a team that works well together and helps each other. Also, I like visiting our other offices to get to know everyone on a personal level. Each team member takes great pride in helping our clients obtain their goals.
What Does an Average Day for You Look Like?
There is no average day in the title business. That is what is the most interesting part of our industry. Every day is different. No closing is exactly the same. Whether it is remote or split closings; working with our amazing partners; or dealing with estate and probate issues, it makes coming to work enjoyable and a little stressful. But, when the closing happens, it is very satisfying when the parties are satisfied.
What is One Service that Millennial Title Offers That You Wish More People Knew About?
Our ability to close almost anywhere through our Remote Online Notary capability. I have done closings in Singapore, Italy, Mexico and Florida without leaving my desk. As we get closer to digital and paperless closings, it is an amazing tool that can be utilized to help facilitate the closing process.
Any Hobbies or Interests Outside of Work?
I love to travel, especially to the beach. My favorite place to go is the 30A area of the Florida Panhandle. Also, I am a private pilot and love to fly to new places for a “$100.00 hamburger.”
